If there was a lower rate I would give this place a -2 star
I booked for a one hour deep tissue, but I didn’t get the exact pressure. I asked the therapist for firm pressure four times but it was like someone is painting the wall and pushing the brush gently.
During the one hour session the therapist was sitting on the chair and polishing me. I didn’t even get compete back massage and my neck was painful too but after the one hr session it is still the same didn’t feel that I’m getting a massage.

I’m so happy that this place is in Alameda. The lobby and massage studios are beautifully decorated and have a peaceful vibe. The front desk staff are always super friendly. I had Paul for my first massage there, he has good strong hands for working out all the knots and tightness. I liked it so much that I purchased the monthly membership! I feel great after each session, and I believe that it has helped relieve painful plantar fasciitis in my foot (along with ankle and feet exercises.) I highly recommend memberships as there are specials throughout the year.

My experience at Hand and Stone was the worst facial I’ve had, it started late, ended early, she only spent like 3 minutes on extractions which I had explicitly stated was the primary reason for the facial, whenever she talked about skincare she seemed to have absolutely no clue what she was talking about and seemed uncertain of what she herself was saying. When I said I was disappointed at the front desk, they just tried to get me to book another facial for twice the price .
